The Czech banking sector is quite developed and stable. There are large, international banks that offer a wide scale of products but their fees may be slightly higher:

Air Bank and mBank have their websites available only in Czech.

To open your bank account, you will need your passport and another form of personal identification (identity card, driving licence). They may also ask for residence permit (applicable for non EU citizens), work permit or student card.  Most banks ask for a small deposit approx. 100 to 1000 CZK when opening the bank account. It is important to arrange your Czech phone number before you decide to open your account.
